LEGIONELLA IN THE VIEW OF SPECIALISTS - page 338

On the following chart, it is possible to comprehend how Legionella Risk
Assessment can be integrated with a Water Safety Plan (WSP). Legionella Risk
Assessment could be part of the process indicated with light blue in the chart.
Finally, any assessmentmust be reviewedperiodically, i.e., thewhole process,
should be assessed from the beginning for its applicability and efficiency. This
review is of great importance and is often neglected. Its importance comes from
two reasons: 1. The initial conditions of the system during the risk assessment
always tend to change over time, either through innovations, modifications,
renovations or even change of whowas firstly involved in the process and; 2. New
advances in the subject can be developed both as new technologies to control and
manage
Legionella
risks as new discoveries about its risk itself and its ecology.
