With this pilot-scale cooling
water system, a great range of
conditions were tested to evaluate
microbial control. Results indicate
that excellent microbial control can
be achieved with practical and cost-
comparatively inexpensive sodium
hypochlorite applications. And in
conditions to simulate extremely
heavy fouling conditions at pH 8.5
withhighalkalinity,microbialcontrol
sodiumhypochlorite treatmentswere
quite practical and inexpensive as
shown in the followingFigure 4.
