make the collection in places of difficult access. The PVT collection kit has
specific culture mediums for the microorganisms, so, if there is presence of
the
Legionella
bacteria at the moment of the sample collection, this can be
recovered withmore precision. Furthermore, in the same kit it is also possible
to analyze heterotrophic bacteria.
• More precision than with the ISO 11731-2 method, for it eliminates
existing problems in the transportation of the sample.
• Fast result, as the bacteria starts to develop from the very moment of
the sampling, it is possible to release a result in up to 2 days of incubation, and
so, it is possible to take a faster action in face of a contamination or outbreak
than it is with the conventional method of ISO.
Being so, it is important to have a safety plan to evaluate the eminent
risks of each building system and to make the monitoring through the
analysis of the water where these samples are to be collected and then send
them to the laboratory the sooner as possible.
