7) Hotel
One of the researchers, while verifying that the core of the problem was
the hotel, started to checkwhether there was a bacteria in the air conditioning,
because this would be a possibility. Several sampling of air and surface items
present in the rooms, lobby, elevators and restaurant were collected.
The media found out that the Hotel was marked as the center of the
epidemic. In November 1976 the hotel filed for bankruptcy for lack of guests.
